Austin, Texas (February 7, 2011) – Just three months after the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin hosted its 57^th Annual Parade of Homes™, the seventh and final residence was sold last week. This final sale, coupled with a record fall attendance of 14,000 visitors, helped establish the October 2010 Parade of Homes™ as the most successful fall Parade in the HBA’s history of the event.

“The big number of visitors was great. But, that all seven homes sold makes this Parade of Homes™ stand out as an incredibly positive sign for the Austin housing market in this cautious time,” said Harry Savio, HBA Executive Vice President. “It is news like this that proves up Austin is truly unique.”

The 57^th Annual Parade of Homes™ showcased seven Tuscan, Hill Country and contemporary custom home designs built in The Bluffs at Rough Hollow in Lakeway. Offering “attainable luxury by the lake”, the custom homes span in size from 3,500 to 5,900 square feet and were priced from the $750’s to $1.5 million. The Parade of Homes^TM offered a diverse line-up of designs constructed by Rostrata Builders, Stonewood Homes, VII Custom Homes, Jenkins Custom Homes, Master’s Touch Custom Homes, Triton Custom Homes and Zbranek Custom Homes.

The Parade of Homes™ symbolizes the “best of the best” for people looking for the latest in home design. Before the event started, a panel of private judges selected as Best Kitchen, Best Master Bath and Best Outdoor Living among many other award categories.

A portion of event’s proceeds benefited the Lake Travis Education Foundation (LTEF). The LTEF is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop financial resources to promote and support an exemplary education for all students in the Lake Travis Independent School District.
